Through the instant petition, as instituted under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C., the petitioners seek the concession of anticipatory bail, in FIR No.66 dated 11.05.2024, under Sections 458, 427, 323, 506, 148, 149 of the IPC, registered at P.S. Talwandi Sabo, District Bathinda.
2. At the very outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, since petitioners' co-accused Bant Singh, who is on a
coequal pedestal as the petitioners, has already been granted the relief of interim bail by this Court, as is evident from the order dated 13.06.2024 (Annexure P-6), therefore, the petitioners also deserve an alike relief.
3. Notice of motion for 01.08.2024.
4. Mr. Pardeep Bajaj, D.A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State of Punjab.
5. In the meantime, the petitioners are directed to join the investigation and to appear before the investigating agency, as and when called upon to do so. In the event of their arrest, they shall be admitted to interim bail on them furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer. The petitioners shall abide by the terms and conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
