Petitioner was not permitted to take the online preliminary examination for the post of Clerk on the ground that she submitted her e-Adhaar Card as proof of identity and not the original Adhaar Card or other proof of identity as mentioned in Advertisement, Annexure P1. Petitioner impugns the OMKAR SINGH 2015.12.29 13:15 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
CWP No.25925 of 2015 [2] condition in the advertisement to the effect that e-Adhaar Card is not an acceptable/valid proof of identity.
By way of interim direction of this Court, petitioner was permitted to take online preliminary examination on 11.12.2015 subject to the decision of this writ petition. It was directed that her result be not declared. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 was subsequently directed to produce petitioner's result in Court today. Perusal of the result reveals that petitioner has not cleared the online preliminary examination.
In view of the above, question raised in this writ petition is rendered academic.
Learned counsel for the petitioner in this situation, seeks to withdraw this writ petition having been rendered infructuous. Disposed of accordingly.
