It is not open to this Court to pass a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to exchange land belonging to them with certain land belonging to the petitioner. The petitioner always has a remedy of seeking easementary rights to gain access to his property.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.

It is clarified that we have not prevented the respondents from considering the petitioner's request for exchange of land. Whether or not to do so is for the respondents to decide. (S.J.
