Petitioner has preferred this writ petition for a direction to respondents to make payment of admitted outstanding amount as reflected in the bills for the work executed by it. Admittedly by now the principal amount has already been paid to the petitioner. Only cause of action that survives is regarding interest on the delayed payment. Learned counsel has placed reliance on judgment reported as Food Corporation of India & anr. vs. M/s Seil Ltd. & ors. 2008 AIR (SC) 1101.

The State shall consider the plea of the petitioner and take a decision within six weeks.

Petition is disposed of in these terms.
