Through instant petition, preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the proceedings dated 20.05.2016/27.05.2016 (P-1) being in violation of rules and instructions i.e. P-9 to P-11 and issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release all retiral benefits such as death-cum-retirement gratuity and commutation of pension and other retiral benefits along with interest.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that though legal notice dated 15.02.2018 (P-7) was duly served upon the respondents but till date neither any reply to the said legal notice has been received nor any final order has been passed by the respondents.

Instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Administration of Justice, Sector 1, Chandigarh to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in legal notice (P-7) and take a conscious decision, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 5.
