(Oral) The instant Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondents to re-issue the passport in the name of petitioner (Minor) in pursuance of Application No.25-0051647940 dated 16.05.2025 (Annexure P-13).

Pursuant to the advance copy of petition, having been supplied to Union of India, Ms. Monica Chawla, Central Govt. Counsel, appears on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2-Union of India and submits that there are certain documents which are required to be supplied by the petitioner and in case, the petitioner (Minor) approaches the concerned passport issuing authority and submit all the requisite documents, the passport application of HIMANI GUPTA 2025.06.03 14:09 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

CWP-16675-2025 (O&M) -2the petitioner would be considered and final decision shall be taken thereon within a period of six weeks from the date when such documents are supplied by the petitioner.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner through his father would approach the concerned Regional Passport Office/ Passport Issuing Authority within ten working days from today and submit the requisite clarifications/information as well as documents.

Keeping in view the aforesaid statement made by learned counsel for the respective parties, the present petition stands disposed of accordingly.
