(Oral) The present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family from the hands of respondents No.5 and 6 and directions be issued to the official respondents to furnish the status report in connection with complaint bearing No. 656-PC-4-25 dated 09.04.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed a representation dated 05.04.2025 (Annexure P-2) before respondent No.3 raising her grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereupon. He further submitted that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if, appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.3, to consider and decide the aforesaid representation/complaint filed by the petitioner and take necessary action thereupon.

At the asking of the Court, Ms. Guramrit Kaur, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent(s)-State and submits that the needful will be done in due course. Let a complete set of the paper-book be supplied to her during the course of the day. She further submits that in compliance to order dated 17.06.2025, status report dated 09.07.2025 has been filed in Court today, which is taken on record.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the aforesaid representation dated 05.04.2025 (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law. 6.

Needless to say, if any threat is found to the petitioner, the official respondents would provide her adequate security in order to protect her life and liberty.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stands disposed of.
