(ORAL) Due to a call given by the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, the Executive Committee of the Bar Association has unanimously decided not to work till 29.09.2023 in solidarity with the District Bar Association, Sri Muktsar Sahib on account of one of the Bar member who is alleged to have been falsely implicated by the police officials at Sri Muktsar Sahib.

Petition herein is under Section 438 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Cr. P.C.') for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.123 dated 26.06.2023, registered under Section 4 of the Punjab Prohibition Cow Slaughter Act, 1955, Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and Section 295 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short 'IPC'), at Police Station, City Sangrur, District Sangrur.

Head Constable Gurdeep Singh states that pursuant to earlier order dated 24.07.2023 passed by this Court, petitioner has joined investigation and in view of cooperation rendered by him, no custodial interrogation of petitioner is required. 4.

In view of the above, since custodial interrogation of petitioner is no more required, and he has already joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating officer, present petition is allowed. Order dated 24.07.2023 granting interim anticipatory MAHAVIR SINGH 2023.09.27 13:31 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/ judgment
