Through instant petition, preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners have sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant one additional increment under Rule 4.4(2) (c) (i) as per Vol-1, Part-1 of Punjab Civil Service Rules and in lieu of judgment rendered in CWP No.3922 of 2011 vide order dated 03.10.2016 and in lieu of letter dated 15.03.2018 (P-3) issued by finance department on getting promotion on the post of SDC and SDO and some other posts also from the date of promotion and re-fix the pay and revise the pension accordingly. And further to release arrears of difference between due and drawn along with 18% interest.

Instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioners in legal notice dated 28.03.2018 (P-5) and take a conscious decision, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 4.
