The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation.

This is a petition seeking direction to Deputy Commissioner, Ambala to conclude the proceedings initiated under Sections 51 and 53 read with Section 175 of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 vide show cause notice dated 21.7.2020 for having caused financial loss to the Gram Panchayat.

Learned counsel for the State appearing on advance notice submits that the matter is under active consideration. The delay is only because of the prevailing COVID-19 situation and proceedings would be concluded as expeditiously as possible.
