The present petition was filed in the year 2016 raising a claim that the Anganwadi worker should be promoted to the post of Supervisor on the basis of seniority rather than, making selection to the said post out of the Anganwadi workers.

As per the respondent, the Anganwadi worker is an honorary post and there is no seniority framed between the Anganwadi workers and all the Anganwadi workers, who are eligible for consideration for appointment to the post of Supervisor, are considered hence, the grievance being raised by the petitioner that the promotion should be made to the post of Supervisor from Anganwadi workers on the basis of seniority, cannot be accepted.
