Present:

Mr. Pankaj Bali, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Ashish Sanghi, DAG, Haryana.

Mr. Davinder Kumar, Advocate for Mr. Navin Mudhan, Advocate for respondent No.2. HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J.

Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.640 dated 02.06.2018 under Sections 406 and 420 IPC registered at P.S City Karnal. Allegations in the FIR lodged on the complaint of Rampreet Mahto are that he and some other persons were cheated by co-accused Parveen Kumar, Branch Head of M/s Infocare India Ltd, a Calcutta based Company and his co-accused. Said Parveen Kumar promised to repay the money invested by the complainant and others with good rate of interest. Interest was repaid for the first year only and thereafter no amount was paid. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the allegations in the FIR are against co-accused Parveen Kumar. He was arrested and has been granted regular bail. He avers that the complainant and others, who allegedly invested in the said Company have given affidavits (P.6 to P.9) stating that the petitioner has no role.

Vide order dated 19.08.2019, this Court while granting the concession of interim anticipatory bail directed the petitioner to join investigation.
