Petitioner (since deceased) has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus challenging the "Sealed Cover Vacancies Procedure" and to declare the result and consequent promotion of the petitioner from JMGS-I to MMGS-II (Merit Channel) held on 1.6.2014.
Learned counsel for the respondents-bank has handed over a sealed cover qua findings of the Interview Committee for Promotion from JMGS-I to MMGS-II and the same has been opened. As per the findings of the Interview Committee for Promotion from JMGS-I to MMGS-II, Sohan Lal-deceased petitioner was not recommended for promotion from JMGS-I to MMGS-II as he was unable to meet the cut-out criteria. Civil Writ Petition No. 26911 of 2014 (O&M) -1been handed over to the learned counsel for the respondents. Learned counsel for the respondents has submitted that whatever was due to the deceased petitioner Sohan Lal has already been paid to him.
Since the petitioner was not recommended by the Interview Committee for Promotion from JMGS-I to MMGS-II, no ground for further interference by this Court is made out. Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
