*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioners herein, inter alia, seek issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned seniority list dated 02.02.2021 (Annexure P-1) in the cadre of Deputy Superintendents, as determined by respondent No.2. Petitioners plead that process of promotion on the post of Circle Superintendent has been started by ignoring them, despite their being senior. They claim seniority on the basis of their length of service as they joined the department comparatively much earlier to others, who are mentioned in the impugned seniority list.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that qua their aforesaid grievance, petitioners submitted a representation dated 28.08.2021 (Annexure P-7), the same has not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the instant petition.

Notice of motion. On advance service, learned State counsel joins proceedings and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State of Haryana and seeks time to file reply.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let a final decision be taken, by the competent authority on the pending representation dated 28.08.2021 (Annexure P-7). 5.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the grievance of the petitioners as per representation dated 28.08.2021 (Annexure P7) and also by keeping in view the contentions raised in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and take a decision, in accordance with law.

Let the needful be done as expeditiously as possible, but not later than 06 months from today.

Any promotion made in the meanwhile shall be subject to the final view taken by the administrative authority on the pending representation dated 28.08.2021 (Annexure P-7) of the petitioner. 9.

Disposed of accordingly.
