The petitioner has no locus standi to approach this Court to seek for cancellation of the licence granted to another person. The petitioner's grievance is that gun licence could be given only to the person in village whose population is more than ten thousand and in this case, it is less than ten thousand. The petitioner is neither an applicant nor a person who could be stated to be aggrieved by any such decision. It cannot be a matter of public interest for a person to seek for cancellation of licence.

The writ petition is dismissed.
