RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ especially in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 3 to initiate departmental enquiry against respondent No.4 and to suspend him from the post of Sarpanch. It is also prayed to issue directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to decide the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.05.2023, Annexure P-2. It has been contended by counsel for the petitioner that for redressal of his grievances, the petitioner has filed representation before Hon'ble the Chief Minister, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat and Director, Rural Development and Panchayat Department, Mohali, respondent No.2, on 19.07.2022 (Annexure P-1) and reminders have also been sent to them on 06.05.2023 (Annexure P-2), however, no action has been taken on the same till date.

After hearing counsel for the parties and going through the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, i.e. Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab, to decide the representation, dated 06.05.2023, Annexure P-2, expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
