Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to grant the benefit of Dearness Allowance/Dearness Relief in accordance with the Central Govt. Employees on the basis of All India Consumer Price Index dated 23.09.2015 as accepted and approved on 21.06.2021, with regard to which a representation dated 28.04.2025, Annexure P-24 has been submitted, which has yet not evoked any response. Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioners, prays that a direction may be given to respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner. 2.

Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation dated 28.04.2025, Annexure P-24, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
