The petitioner was appointed as Lecturer in the Department of Physics with the respondent-University vide appointment letter dated 28.10.2005. He submitted his resignation on 11.07.2012, which was to take effect from 12th October 2012 . The resignation of the petitioner was accepted and he was relieved. The petitioner has been representing to the respondents for release of his final payments of APF, GPF, amount of earned leave and gratuity etc. He sought information under the Right to Information Act, 2005. Vide communication dated 2.9.2015 (Annexure P-6) it was disclosed to him that the case with regard to release of his final payments has not been finalized so far. In view of the aforesaid, learned counsel for the petitioner limits his prayer in this petition to seeking a direction to the respondents to take a decision regarding pending claims of the petitioner.

CWP No. 26300 of 2015 -2Without commenting on the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to take a decision with regard to the claims of the petitioner aforesaid expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. If the benefits are found due, it is expected that the same would be released to the petitioner, at the earliest.
