*** The case has been taken up through Video Conferencing. Petitioners Veena Rani, widow, Surinder Singh son of Late Sh. Jagsir Singh, who was working as a Helper in Punjab State Warehousing Corporation had expired on 7.2.2008 while in service. The grouse of the petitioners is that the said corporation has neither released the service benefits of Sh. Jagsir Singh including grant of family pension nor appointed petitioner No. 2 Surinder Singh on compassionate grounds in terms of policy framed by Government of Punjab. The representation said to have been submitted by petitioner No. 1 addressed to District Manager, Punjab State Warehousing Corporation, Sri Mukatsar Sahib dated 30.4.2021 has not evoked any response necessitating the filing of the present writ petition. Keeping in view the nature of the dispute between the parties as well as prayer made by the petitioners, for the purpose of enabling the respondents to consider the claim of petitioners and then to take appropriate PARVINDER SINGH 2021.10.27 16:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No. 20068 of 2021 action, if need be and further to avoid unnecessary litigation, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation (Annexure P-4) of the petitioner in accordance with law, rules, regulations and instructions on the subject within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of the order and if some action in the matter is warranted then the needful be done in accordance with law. A speaking order in that regard be passed, which be conveyed to the petitioners by Registered A.D. Post. If the petitioners feel dissatisfied after passing of the order then they may approach the Court again in accordance with law.
