The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to carry out the demarcation of the panchayat land comprised in Khasra Nos.252(0-10), 262 (0-11) of Village Bahadurpur, District Sangrur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that despite the representation dated 29.04.2026 (Annexure P-4) having been submitted to respondent No.2 - Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab - for immediate action for removal of illegal encroachment/illegal possession, no action has been taken so far. 3.
