The petitioner was awarded the contract of lifting of straw coming out of agricultural produce of the area of New Grain Market Patiala, Purchase Centre Sanaur, Sanaur Road Bahadurgarh, Donkalan, Lag and Bakshiwal of Market Committee Patiala for a sum of Rs.12,13,000/-. The petitioner has already deposited the said amount through two cheques dated 30.10.2015 and 30.4.2015 respectively. The duration of the contract is 01.04.2015 to 31.3.2016. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the aforesaid contract being awarded to the petitioner, he is not being permitted to pick up the straw as some unauthorised persons, who are present there, have prevented him from lifting the straw. The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the area from where the straw is to be lifted is under the control of respondent No.2.

Accordingly, he has submjitted various representations to the respondents to prevent the unauthorised persons from interfering in the work of the petitioner but all in vain. Dinesh Kumar 2015.12.

CWP No. 26446 of 2015 -2 Learned counsel for the petitioner limits his prayer in this petition to seeking a direction to respondent No.2 to take necessary steps in accordance with law to ensure that the contract awarded to the petitioner is not interfered with by unauthorised persons. Without commenting on the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the representations (Annexure P-5 colly) and to take necessary steps in accordance with law to ensure that the contract awarded to the petitioner is not interfered with by unauthorised persons . It would be open to respondent No.2 to seek assistance from the police if so required.
