(ORAL) The instant petition came to be filed by the petitioner seeking protection of his life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 & 5, as the said respondents did not want the petitioner to meet his daughter. Notice of motion was issued in the said matter with the direction to the official respondents to look into the case and take the steps, if necessary, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner herein. Pursuant to notice of motion having been issued, reply has been filed by the respondent-State by way of affidavit of Rajat Gulia, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Radaur (Yamuna Nagar). As per the reply filed, the matter has been investigated and statements of the petitioner and his wife have been recorded wherein they have stated that their daughter is out of their control and she wants to reside with her aunt for which they have no objection. They have also stated that they have no need for protection, as now they face no threat to their life and liberty.

In view of the reply filed by the respondent-State, counsel for the petitioner does not press the instant petition. Dismissed as not pressed.
