The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking quashing of order dated 24.04.2026 (Annexure P-7) whereby his request to change his employment status has been rejected. He is further seeking direction to respondents to update his status from 'other employment' to 'unemployed'. 2.
The petitioner on 29.05.2022 suffered a brain stroke which led to paralysis on one side of his body. His disability was assessed 'permanent' to the extent of 70%. The State of Haryana on 24.08.1992 came up with a policy to award disability pension to handicapped residents having permanent disability. Said policy was amended from time to time. The petitioner was employed with Kohya Finance Company on the post of Assistant Branch Manager since May' 2022. He suffered a brain stroke and had to proceed on medical leave. The situation remained same for around 10 months and he tendered his resignation which was duly accepted. The Civil Surgeon granted him disability certificate which made him eligible for MOHIT KUMAR 2026.05.27 15:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.
CWP-17344-2026 -2disability pension. He approached Authorities concerned to update his employment status on PPP ID Portal from 'Employed' to 'Unemployed'. He was advised to update his status as 'Other Employment' instead of 'Unemployed' because option of 'Unemployed' was not available on portal. Status was updated accordingly. He filed multiple representations followed by legal notice dated 27.04.2026 seeking change of his status when the portal started showing option 'Unemployed' in the drop-down menu but to no avail.

Learned State counsel assures the Court that competent authority would consider petitioner's claim and address his grievance in accordance with law within 8 weeks from today. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of.
