***** JASPAL SINGH, J Through instant petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the medical reimbursement amount incurred by her on the treatment of her husband-Paramjit Kumar, who was working as Patwari.

The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that as far as the bills amounting to Rs.70742/- and Rs.23,682/- for the period 10.11.2010 to 21.11.2010 and 25.11.2010 to 28.11.2010 respectively in respect of treatment taken by the husband of the petitioner in Ghai Hospital, Jalandhar and Patel Hospital, Jalandhar is concerned, the same have been paid keeping in view the government policy but as far as the bill pertaining to the period 28.11.2010 to 18.12.2010 amounting to Rs.2,85,237/- in respect of medical treatment taken by SONIKA 2018.08.21 12:37 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.20284 OF 2018 --2-- the husband of the petitioner from DMC, Ludhiana is concerned, though out of the aforesaid amount, a sum of Rs.2,16,980/- has already been sanctioned vide letter dated 01.09.2017 (P-13) and conveyed to the Director Land Record Punjab, Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar but till date the payment in respect thereof has not so far been released/disbursed to the petitioner. 3.

At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent to decide representation dated 04.01.2017 (P-11), within a stipulated period. 4.

Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with the direction to respondents to release the amount sanctioned vide letter dated 01.09.2017 (P-13), within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

In case of non-compliance of aforesaid direction, petitioner shall be at liberty to approach this Court as well as to have recourse to the other remedies available under law.
