The petitioners have sought an order directing the respondents to allot the alternate plots.

The petitioners had earlier been allotted the plots by HUDA. The Railway Authorities acquired the same under the Railways Act, 1989. The HUDA has allotted the alternate plots. The petitioners' grievance in this regard, therefore, stands redressed.

The petitioners have also sought compensation in respect of the construction raised on the plots acquired by the Railway Authorities. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the plots were illegally acquired without issuing any notice for acquisition. 5.
We express no view on the merits of the matter. The petitioners are at liberty to adopt appropriate proceedings.
