***** JASPAL SINGH, J (ORAL) Instant petition has been preferred by the petitioner under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, for issuance a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to step up the pay of the petitioner at par with the pay being given to his junior with all consequential benefits. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that though one Bijender Singh figures at Serial No.21 in the seniority list of Workshop Staff and name of petitioner is at Serial No.1 in the said list but despite the fact, petitioner is getting lesser pay than that of Bijender Singh, which is against the statutory provisions of law. He further submits that in fact, a representation dated 16.12.2016 (Annexure P-4) was moved to the respondents but till date no conscious decision has been taken.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent(s) to decide the aforesaid representation (Annexure P-4), within a stipulated period. 4.

Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent(s) to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in his representation dated 16.12.2016 (Annexure P-4) and to decide the same, as per Rules, Regulations and latest notifications, that too, by passing a speaking order, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

However, if the petitioner still feels aggrieved of the order passed by the concerned authority, he shall be at liberty to approach this Court.
