...Respondent(s)
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA
Present:
Mr. P.S. Jammu, Advocate, for the petitioner.
G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner is aggrieved against the advertisement dated 20.11.2015 (Annexure P-3) since the combination of the subject of Sociology and Psychology has not been provided for the post of Social Studies Master/Mistress. It is accordingly submitted that the petitioner is at a disadvantage and was not in a position to apply. A perusal of the advertisement (Annexure P-3) would go on to show that the last date for filling up the application was 12.12.2015. The petitioner has not approached this Court before the cut off date. It is settled principle that the cut off date is a sacrosanct date and the petitioner having not approached this Court for interim relief within the prescribed period, at this stage, no relief can be granted to the petitioner on this account for consideration against the present advertisement. Resultantly, the present writ petition is not maintainable and is accordingly dismissed.
