The present petition has been filed for directing respondents No.2 to 4 to consider the representation dated 20.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) of the petitioner and further respondents No.4 to 6 be directed to provide adequate police protection of the election of Ward No.23, Block Malout, Tehsil Malout, District Sri Muktsar Sahib.

The grievance being raised is the petitioner is having apprehension towards her personal security during the conduct of the election of the Municipal Council, Sri Mukatsar Sahib, hence, the respondents be directed to provide adequate security. 3.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Jastej Singh, Addl. Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that the said issue has already been taken care of by this Court while passing the order in CWPSANDEEP KUMAR 2026.05.25 20:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment.

CWP No.17054 of 2026 (O&M) 15244-2026 Rashmi Rani and others Versus State of Punjab and others, decided on 14.05.2026 and in case, the petitioner has any apprehension regarding her security, she can move an appropriate application to the concerned Senior Superintendent of Police and in case any such application is received, due consideration will be given to the same for redressal of the grievance.

Keeping in view the fact that the issue already stands adjudicated upon while passing the order in Rashmi Rani's case (supra), The same directions are repeated in the present cases as well to the effect that in case the petitioner has any apprehension about threat to her security, she can move an appropriate application to the Senior Superintendent of Police concerned, who will look into the said grievance and ensure the safety of the petitioner.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 7.

Civil miscellaneous application pending, if any, is also disposed of.
