In the present writ petition, the petitioner(s) is praying for issuance of a direction to respondent No.1 to decide the appeal dated 02.06.2025 (Annexure P-7) filed by the petitioner against the order dated 09.10.2024 (Annexure P-5) whereby the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) has been rejected. 2.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was eligible for promotion on the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) as the petitioner had requisite three years' service as Junior Draftsman. Learned counsel submits that the case of the petitioner was considered for promotion, however, the respondents have rejected the claim of the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner does not possess three years' experience as a Junior Draftsman (Civil). Learned counsel further submits that aggrieved against the aforesaid order, the petitioner has filed the appeal dated AJAY KUMAR 2026.05.27 17:31 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment Chandigarh
CWP-17177-2026 -202.06.2025 (Annexure P-7) and the same is still pending. Learned counsel, on instruction from the petitioner, submits that the present writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the appeal dated 02.06.2025 (Annexure P-7), in a time bound manner. 3.

Mr.Nitin Sharma, Advocate (through VC), accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and does not object to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and decide the appeal dated 02.06.2025 (Annexure P-7), filed by the petitioner within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
