Petitioners have prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondents to pay compensation as a drain has been constructed in land owned by the petitioners. At the outset, learned State counsel has referred to judgment rendered by Division Bench in CWP No. 26567 of 2013 titled as Gulab Singh & anr. vs. State of Punjab & ors. decided on 02.05.2017. According to him, case is squarely covered by order passed therein.
