The instant Criminal Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondents No.2 and 3 to ensure that the petitioners are not harassed at the instance of private respondents with a further prayer to direct respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners confines his prayer only for issuance of a direction to decide the representation dated 28.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) by the Commissioner of Police, District Sonipat (respondent No.2).

Having received advance copy of the petition, Mr. Aashish Bishnoi, DAG, Haryana, appears and accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents No.1 to 3. He undertakes to decide the said representation within a period of 02 days from today.

Keeping in view the innocuous prayer made, seeking written response from the respondents is dispensed with. 6.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to the Commissioner of Police (respondent No.2) to consider and decide the representation dated 28.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) and if some action is warranted, the needful be done in accordance with law, within a period of two days from the date of the receipt of the certified copy of this order.

However, the State shall remain bound by the undertaking given by it in the Court today.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
