Challenge is to the order passed by learned Single Judge dated 08.04.2025 passed in CWP No.6161 of 2025, whereby learned Single Judge has rejected the claim of the writ-petitioner for seeking reinstatement/ re-engagement as Home Guard after he was relieved from the duty in October 2011, on the ground of delay and latches. 2.
While no right is available to a volunteer for continuing in service, even if we consider Home Guard as a semi volunteer service, then too, a person must come and approach the Court within the reasonable NEETU RANI 2025.07.03 15:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment PHHC, CHD
LPA No.1770 of 2025 (O&M) -2time. For the first time, the writ-petitioner has approached the Court in the year 2022, i.e 11 years after he was disengaged. More than 14 years have lapsed. Learned Single Judge has, thus, rightly rejected the claim of the writ-petitioner. We agree with the same and the present appeal is dismissed accordingly.
