*** Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he be permitted to withdraw the present petition but a direction be issued to the trial Court to expedite the trial.

On being asked, learned State counsel has informed that out of 25 PWs cited by the prosecution 21 PWs have since been examined and the next date of hearing in the trial Court is 12.3.2021 for recording statements of the remaining PWs. It being so, the trial is likely to be concluded in near future. Nevertheless a direction is issued to the trial Court to complete the trial expeditiously by giving short adjournments. The State counsel is directed to cause appearance of remaining PWs in the Court on the next date of hearing stated to be fixed as 12.3.2021 or on dates to be fixed thereafter by the trial Court.
