Dated Police Station Sections 13.03.2023 Vigilance Bureau, Patiala 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended by PC (Amendment) Act 2018 1.

The petitioner apprehending arrest in the FIR captioned above, had come up before this Court under Section 438 CrPC seeking anticipatory bail. 2.

Vide order dated 05.09.2023, the petitioner was granted interim bail subject to complying with some conditions and the said order is continuing till date. 3.

Petitioner's counsel submits that they have voluntarily complied with the previous order dated 05.09.2023 and handed over the affidavits to counsel for the State. 4.

Allegations against the petitioner are that petitioner who is a Patwari allegedly demanded bribe for a sum of Rs.700/- for himself and Rs.200/- for his assistance, to get the mutation sanctioned.

Considering the alleged bribe amount and the fact that petitioner has handed over the affidavit, interim order dated 05.09.2023 is made absolute. Consequently, the petition is allowed.
