(Oral) The prayer in the present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for the issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 4 to conduct a fair, independent and transparent enquiry/investigation on the applications dated 22.09.2021 (Annexure P-2) and 21.03.2022 (Annexure P-3) submitted to respondents No.2 and 3 respectively against respondent No.5 and 6 for illegal detention, harassing the petitioner and compelling the petitioner to pay Rs.25,000/-.

None appears on behalf of the petitioner.

The reply dated 30.08.2022 by way of a short affidavit of Yogesh Kumar, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Dhuri, District Sangrur, on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 has been filed in the Court today. The same is taken on record. As per the reply, it has been found that the applicant-Sarbajit Kaur has a financial dispute with one Jasmail Singh-respondent No.5. were called to the police station to join the enquiry and after recording their statements, they left the said police station. The recording of their statements has been corroborated by a number of respectable persons who have been duly named in the said reply.

In her statement recorded at the police station on 13.09.2021, the petitioner-Sarabjit Kaur did not mention about ASI Karamjit Singh giving any threats to her. Her statement was corroborated by Nika Singh and Sukhdev Singh. Therefore, it has been found from the enquiry that the allegations levelled by the applicant-petitioner Sarabjit Kaur against ASI Karamjit Sigh are baseless. It has also been found that the matter is of a civil nature pertaining to a financial transaction between the petitioner and respondent No.5.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court. The present petition is disposed of accordingly.
