Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent(s) to consider the petitioner for appointment to the post of Workshop Superintendent in BC Category.

At the outset, learned counsel on instructions from petitioner submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case the representation dated 20.06.2022 (P-7) is decided expeditiously.

Notice of motion to the aforesaid limited extent. On asking of the Court, Ms. Lavanya Paul, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioner. In view of the above, but without expressing any opinion on merits of the claim of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed off with direction to the competent authority to consider and decide the aforesaid representation dated 20.06.2022 (P-7) as per law within four weeks from the DINESH KUMAR 2022.08.25 12:08 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
