***** KIRTI SINGH, J.(Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to take appropriate action against respondent No. 5 and other police officials in FIR No. 150, dated 19.05.2020, registered under Sections 406, 498-A, and 34 of the IPC at P.P. Mai Bhago, Police Station Sadar, District Amritsar and for appropriate directions to respondent No.2 to act upon the representation dated 08.06.2020 (Annexure P/2) in accordance with law. 2.

Learned State counsel while referring to reply dated 01.03.2021 submits that the petitioner alleged that the relatives of co-accused Dr. Dilbagh Singh, along with ASI Kulwant Singh and other police officials, conspired to destroy the evidence in connection with FIR No. 150 dated 19.05.2020 by taking bribes. The allegations levelled were investigated by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Amritsar City, who found them to be baseless and unsubstantiated. The petitioner also preferred a complaint dated 08.06.2020 with the Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Chandigarh with similar allegations, which was registered as Complaint No. 364/2020 and was duly forwarded for enquiry in accordance to Section 17-A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and was duly KAVITA NAIN 2025.01.10 15:59 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document order/judgment

CRM-M-36616-2020 (O&M) investigated by the concerned Vigilance Bureau and concluded that the allegations leveled were not substantiated with any evidence and ASI Kulwant Singh had conducted the investigation as per established procedures and the findings of the investigation were duly forwarded to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar for purpose of verification.

Learned counsel for petitioner concurs with the submissions made by the learned State counsel.

In view of above submission, no further cause of action survives in the present petition. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
