The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking directions to the official respondent(s) to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the private respondents. It is stated in the petition that the petitioner has already made a representation dated 18.05.2026 (Annexure P-1), raising the said grievances, but no action has been taken so far.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar to consider the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioner and take necessary action thereon qua threat perception.
