ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of the private respondents and to hand over the investigation of FIR No.11 dated 03.02.2017 registered under Sections 302, 34 IPC at Police Station Khanna, District Ludhiana, to some independent agency. Reply by way of affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Samrala, District Ludhiana, is on record in which it is stated that on completing the investigation, a cancellation report is prepared on 17.07.2017 but the same could not be presented on account of pendency of the present petition.

Counsel for the State has argued that the cancellation report will be presented before the trial Court within a period of 08 weeks from today.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
