***** JASPAL SINGH, J By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent to release the arrears of revised pay and pensionary benefits, which was refixed by the respondent No.3 vide letter (P-2) with all consequential benefits along with 18% interest on delayed payments. 2.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though representation dated 27.11.2017 (P-5) was moved to the respondent(s) followed by representation dated 08.01.2018 (P-6) but till date neither any response has been received nor any conscious decision has been taken. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent No. 3 to decide representation(s) (P-5 and P-6), within a stipulated period.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent No.3-Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Bhucho Mandi, District Bathinda to consider the claim of the petitioner put forth by him in representations (P-5 and P-6) and to take a conscious decision, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

However, if the petitioner still feels aggrieved against any of the order passed by the concerned authority, he shall be at liberty to approach this Court as well as to have recourse to the other remedies available under law.
