**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred this writ petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to approve Regular Joint Time Table on the route i.e. Patiala- Anandpur Sahib extended upto Nangal on the date fixed i.e. 29.08.2022 and 30.08.2022. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid dates have been fixed by way of a gazette notification dated 08.08.2022 for fixation of time table at serial No.6 and 8 of the agenda.

Grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner is lawfully engaged in the business of transport and is providing stage carriage facilities to the travelling public. Petitioner has

-2been issued permit No.1000/Regd/2022 on Patiala- Anandpur Sahib via Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, Morinda, Kurali, Ropar route and the same is valid upto 05.01.2027. Permit of the petitioner has also been extended now upto Nangal vide RTA Patiala meeting dated 05.07.2022 w.e.f. 07.07.2022. Petitioner is aggrieved against the inaction of respondent No.2 in not providing regular joint time table and in the absence of aforesaid, petitioner is not in a position to operate its permit effectively.

Precisely for the grievance in question, petitioner has issued a legal notice through his counsel on 07.06.2022 and the same has not been adverted to so far.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case its legal notice is directed to be decided by the competent authority i.e. respondent No.2 by passing a speaking order in accordance with law at the earliest.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Sanjeev Soni, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of nature of order which this Court proposes to pass, there is no necessity of calling upon any response from the respondents at this stage.
