Through this writ petition, the petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the orders dated 19.04.2021 and 19.8.2021.

In essence, the petitioner is an elected Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat, Village Hethla Thaluh, Block Shri Anandpur Sahib, District Rupnagar. He has been placed under suspension from the office of the Sarpanch since 19.04.2021.

Ms. Kanica Sachdeva, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, enters appearance on behalf of the respondent No.1 to 4 pursuant to the supply of an advance copy of the writ petition and submits that a regular inquiry into the allegations against the petitioner is at the fag end and she has DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2021.10.08 16:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
Civil Writ Petition No. 20394 of 2021 the instructions to make a statement that the same shall be concluded within a period of 15 days.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2-Director, Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab, to take further steps on receipt of the inquiry without any delay and the entire process shall be concluded within a period of six weeks from today, failing which the suspension of the petitioner shall be deemed to have been stayed.
