Prayer made in the present petition is for quashing the office memo dated 22.10.2014 passed by respondent No.4-addressed to the respondent University.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner was appointed as Lecturer (Sociology) on 31.08.2004, Annexure P-2, however her services were dispensed with and she was relieved on 28.07.2007, after the University was formed and the College, where she was working came within its jurisdiction. A decision was taken by the Executive Council of the University on 23.06.2008 to absorb all the left over staff and her case as also that of Nishal Dalal @ Nisha Mohan was forwarded to the Government on 23.04.2014, Annexure P-13, whereafter on the asking of the Government, the matter was reconsidered and the names of both the aforesaid were dropped from the proposal on the ground that they were not working. Learned counsel for respondent No.3 states that another candidate has been regularly selected by following due process, wherein the petitioner had also participated.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition was ordered to be heard alongwith CWP-15027-2016, titled as Nisha Dalal @ Nisha Mohan vs. Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyala and others, which came to be disposed of on 17.01.2025 on the statement of learned State counsel that the decision with regard to the sanction of post would be taken and conveyed to the University and prays that the present petition may also be disposed of in the same terms, to which learned counsel opposite have no objection.
