(ORAL) The present writ petition has been filed for taking an action on the representation of the petitioner for suspension of respondent No.4 as per the Punjab Civil Services (Punishment & Appeal) Rules, 1970. This Court called upon Mr. Sharma to apprise this Court as to how the provisions of aforementioned Rules of 1970 are applicable to the employees governed by the University Act which is having its own Calendar and terms and conditions of services. The writ petition, thus, in my view seeking the redressal of aforementioned grievance is not maintainable. When this Court was about to dismiss the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner sought liberty of this Court for withdrawal of the writ petition. Ordered accordingly. The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
