**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred this petition for the issuance of writ order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release certain security amount after completion of work of installation of deep tubewell. Petitioner is a Government Contractor and has executed various work assignments allotted to him. According to him he has completed the work to the entire satisfaction of the respondents. Running bills have been released but balance of final bill and security amount have not been released so far. Petitioner has already approached to respondents No.4 and 5 by way of numerous representations.

Two of the representations are attached as Annexures P3 and P4. Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court Mr. Abhay Pal Singh Gill, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab. In view of nature of order, which this Court proposes to pass there is no necessity of serving respondents No.3 to 6 or AMANDEEP GOSAIN 2021.10.27 13:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-20169-2021 calling upon any response from the respondents as no order prejudicial to the interest of respondents is being passed. Since the representations sent by the petitioner are pending before respondent No.4, therefore, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 to take a final view on the pending representations (Annexure P-3 & P-4) and decide the same within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. If respondent No.3 comes to the conclusion that the petitioner firm is entitled for the amount in question then the same be paid forthwith along with interest @ 6% per annum for the delayed payment from the date of amount became due within a time specified hereinabove.
