M.M.S. BEDI, J. (ORAL) Petitioner in the capacity as Mayor, Municipal Council, Panipat, apprehending threat to his life and property from unidentified persons during the performance of his functions as Mayor had requested the Deputy Commissioner, Panipat, vide Annexure P1, for providing the security by the government.
Application Annexure P1 submitted by the petitioner seems to have been dealt with by the Deputy Commissioner, Panipat, by referring the same to respondent no.3 for necessary action as per rules, on 18.11.2016.
This petition has been filed for a direction to respondent no.3 to consider the claim of the petitioner. I have heard the counsel for the petitioner.

On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Mr.Vishal Sharma, AAG, Haryana, present in the Court. Counsel for the petitioner is directed to supply two sets of paper book to the State counsel during the course of the day. Without expression of any opinion regarding the extent and nature of the threat apprehended by the petitioner, this petition is disposed of in limine with a direction to respondent no.3 to consider the claim of the petitioner determining the threat perception in accordance with rules and decide the claim of the petitioner by passing a speaking order within a period of two months after the receipt of certified copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner. It will be the duty of the petitioner to communicate the copy of the order to respondent no.3.
