% &'( Petitioner is aggrieved by a notification dated 08.03.2018 issued by the Environment Impact Assessment Committee under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, regarding installation of Electric Sub Station in Sector 24, DLF Phase7II, Gurgaon. 2.

From the pleadings of the parties, it appears that the petitioner had earlier approached the National Green Tribunal against the said installation whereby a direction was issued to the authorities to look into the matter in accordance with law. Except for the aforesaid fact, the pleadings in the writ petition are silent in this respect but prima7facie it appears that in pursuance to the proceedings a direction has been issued to the Environment Impact Assessment Committee to look into the matter and thereafter notification dated 15.03.2018 has been issued. Since the issue pertains to the protection of the environment under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, the petitioner has an efficacious alternate remedy to approach the National Green Tribunal for challenging the notification impugned in this petition. 4.

In view of the existing statutory alternate remedy available to the petitioner, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition and the same stands dismissed on the said ground.
