In this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India in the form of Public Interest Litigation, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondents to take action against the officials/officers of Municipal Council, Sirhind - Fatehgarh Sahib, in view of inquiry report dated 10.01.2013 (Annexure P-4) and departmental inquiry dated 23.11.2009 (Annexure P-2) as per the embezzlement of Government funds in the Municipal Council Sirhind, has been proved.
