**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) The instant writ petition was filed seeking a direction in the nature of mandamus to be issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner promoted as Vocational Master w.e.f. 07.04.2000 instead of 19.08.2016.

It is contended that in this regard the petitioner has already served the department with a legal notice dated 30.09.2016, however, to date the said legal notice has not been decided. The limited prayed made is for an early decision on the legal notice that has been served upon the department.

Notice of motion was issued in the matter as far back as on 19.12.2016 for today.

Service is complete.

Mr. T.N. Sarup, learned Addl. Needless to say, in case there is any merit in claim of the petitioner, the necessary relief be released to him within a period of one month thereafter.
