**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) As per the averments made in the present writ petition, petitioners have discharged the duties of the higher posts of Kanungo on current duty charge. In respect of petitioner No.1, namely, Sh. Resham Singh, he discharged the duties of the post of Kanungo on current duty charge from 20.03.2013 to 31.12.2014 and in respect of petitioner No.2, namely, Sh. Gurmail Singh, he discharged the duties of the post of Kanungo on current duty charge from 19.05.2016 to 30.04.2018 and therefore, keeping in view the settled principle of law, petitioners are entitled for the salary of the posts of which they had discharged their duties on higher post.

From the pleadings, it transpires that for the relief, which has been sought in the present writ petition, petitioners have submitted a NARESH KUMAR 2019.08.05 14:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and entitlement of the petitioners in respect of the claim made in the writ petition/representation, the respondents are directed to decide the representation dated 13.08.2018 (Annexure P-7) within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
